Our Mission
To reach the unchurched through the multiplication of high-impact leaders and high-impact churches.
OUR PASSION
To joyfully love, honor, and serve God out of gratitude for His gracious work of salvation through Jesus Christ and His empowering gift of the Holy Spirit. Our desire is to see God work powerfully in us and through us to reach and disciple lost people in the cities of Europe and the world.
OUR VISION
To see entire cities and nations impacted with the gospel through the multiplication of high-impact leaders and churches — for every man, woman, and child to have an opportunity to hear the gospel message clearly communicated and see it dynamically expressed through vital, witnessing, loving, reproducing bodies of believers. Furthermore, it is our desire to see those who accept Jesus as Saviour and Lord incorporated into a local church where they grow to spiritual maturity and are empowered to serve.
What we mean by Unchurched
Much of Europe is ‘post-Christian.’ Europeans are apathetic toward the church. By unchurched we mean people who do not have a personal relationship with God and who do not attend church regularly. In many European countries less than five percent of the population attend any church. Our goal is to reach unchurched people and to introduce them to a vibrant church that offers them a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Urban Centres
Currently more than half the world’s population lives in cities. In a very real sense, the peoples of the world are coming to the city. The Apostle Paul saw the strategic role of cities and made them the centre of his missionary efforts. CAI also recognises the importance of urban centres and is committed to reaching the cities of Europe.
Church Planting
The most effective form of evangelism in the long-term is starting new churches and multiplying them. Europe needs new expressions of the church to reach a generation ignorant of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to launching churches because we believe the church is the best context in which people can find Christ. CAI wants to empower and encourage national churches to become more effective. We promote church growth and renewal with pastors who are seeking to change traditional structures that are now ineffective. For those in ministry who want to meet the challenges of the 21st century, we seek to encourage and promote their ministry.
High Impact
The high-impact church is characterised by a balance between the spiritually dynamic core, a mobilised membership, and attractive seeker-sensitive services and events. A high-impact church is marked by: 1) Life transformation: people coming to, or returning to, Christ. 2) Vision transformation: vision for the lost and vision for how God wants to use our lives and spiritual gifts. 3) Genuine growth: toward Christ, in community, and in numerical size. 4) Multiplication: of ministering Christians, of cell groups, and of leaders. 5) Reproduction: of leaders and of local churches.
